I've described myself in the past as a transhumanist. I haven't followed closely how the ideology has evolved over the years, but to me it simply means: we should seek to use the tools to advance the human condition, and eventually reach a post-humanity.
To me it is not so much an ideology, but an eventuality. Humans are ready to take medicines without knowing how they work. Eventually there will be such advanced treatments that they can replace every part of us. It only takes a few of us to reach that point, but then the post-humanity will have arrived.
